PERSONAL

     John Robert Socks, 35, a Metro-Detoit native, has been in the construction environment all of his life.  By the time John was 9 years old, he was driving a backhoe on weekends and, at age 15, was running a bulldozer on his own.  John was given the opportunity to run his first project in 1987, a 15,000 sq. ft. shopping center on Garfield in Clinton Township.  At the age of 18, he ascended to the level of Project Manager for the Mirage Banquet Facility in Clinton Township.

     In 1991, at age 21, after demonstrating his abilities to manage and run the business with the above-mentioned projects, John became partners with his father.  Over the next decade, this joint venture flourished, developing residential and commercial properties.  Upon the death of his father in 2001, John became the sole propietor of Socks & Associates Development, Inc.

     In 1998, John was married to his wife Debbie and they have 3 children, Johnny, Leah and Rachel.

     Socks & Associates Development, Inc. is the proud sponsor of youth basketball and Special Olympics in Chesterfield Township.
